Valeria Trucchia is an internationally influenced visual artist, illustrator, and creative professional based in Southern Arizona. Her multidisciplinary practice spans illustration, fine art, clay sculpture, and design — blending European aesthetics with contemporary expression.
Her artistic identity is defined by cross-cultural fluency: raised in Paris within an Italian family, she called Brooklyn home for over two decades before settling in Southern Arizona. Her creative motto captures this journey perfectly: French accent, Italian blood, Brooklyn spirit — and a lifelong love affair with the desert.
Today, Valeria creates under The Music Room, her studio practice focused on original illustrations and reimagined decorative plateware that transforms vintage pieces into contemporary art objects. Working with black ink, clay, oil, and gouache, she produces pieces that mirror her own cultural complexity.
Her artistic language reflects this rich background: think Parisian chic meets desert boldness, delicate ink lines paired with confident shapes, classical training filtered through contemporary expression. The result is work that feels both refined and spirited — much like red lipstick worn with a cowboy hat, an aesthetic contradiction that somehow makes perfect sense.
